Hyundai will update the design of future modelsDecember 12, 2019
When designing its future vehicles, Hyundai will pay more attention to the typical lifestyle and customer needs.
Until now, the line of Hyundai cars had a family look, and all cars had the same face, said the head of the brand’s design center Sang Yup Lee. In the future, the design of new models will have more variety. According to him, the Vision T hybrid concept, presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month, demonstrates the styling of future Hyundai cars.
According to Lee, Hyundai is striving to find a design element that can give the brand a distinctive image, as Audi did 10 years ago with its light styling. Lee hinted that the concept is superior to the next-generation Tucson SUV.
“The show car is a very strong statement. You will be surprised how close the production car is to the Vision T, ”he said.
Vision T is the seventh in a series of Hyundai Design Center concepts that reflect the evolving global design language of the Sensuous Sportiness brand.
One of the design elements that Hyundai will pay close attention to when creating future cars is the location of the sensors for stand-alone drive technology.
“External sensors will play a major role in giving each car a distinctive look,” Lee said.
