Hyundai will introduce a new crossover next monthMarch 27, 2019
The official presentation of Hyundai’s new subcompact crossover will be held at the New York Auto Show (April 2019).
As part of the auto show in New York, the South Korean company Hyundai is going to present its new crossover. As previously announced by representatives of the brand, in the current model range of the automaker, the new model will be positioned a step below the compact Kona crossover (shown in the photo). Thus, the novelty will become the most affordable Hyundai crossover offer.
Today, the press service of Hyundai announced that the upcoming crossover will be designed exclusively for the city. The company apparently does not want to go into any details about its new model.
According to the data, which Motor Trend journalists have acquired a little more than a month ago, the new Hyundai crossover will get the name Venue, and its appearance will be different from that of the “stylish” Kona – it will get a more traditional look. The head of the Hyundai design center in Namyan (South Korea), said that the company’s smallest crossover will be “noticeably different” from the Kona model.
We already know that the new A-segment crossover will not be built on the same platform as the Kona model. With the presentation of its crossover baby, the South Korean brand will pause the replenishment of the current lineup, which has recently been expanded with the large Palisade crossover. A related Kia is also expanding its line of crossover models with a large SUV, which was named Telluride, and will soon show the European version of the XCeed crossover.
