Hyundai will arrange a race from Rome to Paris for the premiere of a new sports carSeptember 21, 2018
The South Korean company announced the premiere of the sports version of the fastest i30, which will receive a 275-horsepower engine
The premiere of the “charged” modification of fastback Hyundai i30 Fastback will take place on September 26 in Rome. In this case, two copies of the sports car will participate in the race from the Italian capital to Paris, where his world public debut will take place.
The first driver behind the wheel Hyundai i30 Fastback N will be an Italian Gabriela Tarquini, competing at the moment in the Turing Tournament. He will be resisted by Belgian Thierry Neville, representing the factory team of Hyundai in the WRC championship sire.
The company noted that within the framework of this competition a new record will be set. It is assumed that this is an entertaining road tour, not a real race, since it is not possible to completely close the roads from Rome to Paris with a total length of about 1.5 thousand km.
Hyundai i30 Fastback N will be equipped with the same two-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine from the hatchback i30 N, on which it develops 250 or 275 horsepower. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The most powerful version of the hot-hatches is able to gain the first 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, and its maximum speed is limited to 250 km per hour.
