Hyundai Venue named India’s most popular crossoverSeptember 24, 2019
On sale, this budget SUV appeared in May 2019. Since that time, Hyundai dealers have collected over 70 thousand pre-orders for the new SUV.
Hyundai Venue managed to win the title of the most popular SUV in the Indian car market. From June to August, local dealers of the brand handed over 34,739 of these cars to the hands of customers, of which 14,820 were equipped with diesel engines, 19 919 were powered by gasoline. Such a rush of demand for the new product has led to the fact that the Indian Hyundai plant has ceased to cope with the growing volume of orders. As a result – a huge queue for the crossover, which stretched for three months.
The cost of new items ranges from 650 thousand rupees to 1,110,500 rupees.
Hyundai Venue’s engine range includes a 1.2-liter 83-horsepower aspirated, a 120-liter turbo engine and a 90-liter 1.4-liter diesel engine. Transmission also implies a choice: 5-speena manual transmission, 6-speed manual transmission, seven-speed “robot”. But the drive is a non-alternative front. The list of available options for the new Venue turned out to be very rich: up to six airbags, a head unit that can be replaced with multimedia with a touchscreen, a frontal collision warning system and much more. In the top versions, even a leather interior appears.
