The model was demonstrated in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The updated Hyundai Ioniq Electric will be released to the European market in September this year.

Electric Ioniq will receive a new battery at 38.3 kW / h, which increases energy consumption by 36%. Previously, Ioniq Electric was equipped with a 28 kW / h battery. The range with the new battery will increase to 311 km in accordance with the WLTP test cycle.

As standard equipment, an integrated 7.2 kW charger is now provided, which will replace the previous one with 6.6 kW. As a result, the battery will replenish energy by 80% in just 54% with a fast charging station.

The electric motor remains the same. Its maximum power is 136 hp. (100 kW), the maximum torque is 295 Nm. Hyundai Ioniq Electric will borrow regenerative braking technology from Kona Electric. Most often, in order to stop, the driver only needs to hold the left steering column switch, the brake pedal will be activated in rare cases.

Intelligent regenerative braking allows you to automatically adjust the level of energy recovery depending on the slope of the road and road conditions. Ioniq Electric also has an Eco + driving mode that complements the standard Eco, Comfort, and Sport modes. Eco + allows drivers to reduce energy consumption, as well as save the vehicle’s remaining energy for unforeseen emergencies.

Hyundai Ioniq Electric received updated connectivity thanks to the Hyundai Bluelink system, which allows the user to remotely control the air conditioning, charge, lock or unlock the doors through the smartphone application. Equipped with an optional 10.25-inch navigation system (AVN), Ioniq Electric also offers a five-year free Hyundai Live Services subscription.

The interior has new trim colors, chrome accents on the dashboard, as well as a new climate control panel. Used new touch settings and blue backlight.

In terms of design, Hyundai Ioniq Electric will receive a new design for the closed front grille, an updated front bumper with silver accents at the bottom, a new rear bumper trim and upgraded daytime running lights.
