Hyundai to equip new i30 with redesigned Bluelink technologyAugust 2, 2020
The Korean automaker is preparing an update for its Bluelink technology, which gives access to auto services, including adding several new features. the first model to receive an updated system will be the new i30.
Hyundai’s Bluelink system will receive a number of new features including Connected Routing, Last Mile Navigation and real-time parking information, as well as a new user profile feature that makes setup easier.
“Following the successful rollout of Bluelink to our range, we are pleased to offer Hyundai drivers an enhanced connectivity package starting with the new i30. By continuing to expand our state-of-the-art Bluelink platform with even more exciting features, we demonstrate our commitment to delivering the most advanced technology to Hyundai customers, ”said Hyundai Motor Europe CEO Andreas-Christoph Hofmann.
The first thing you’ll see after launching the system is a new user interface with a black screen and updated blue icons that show the time, weather, and even map navigation. There are three color schemes available in total, as well as a new dark mode.
Another novelty is the new Connected Routing cloud navigation, which calculates routes on a powerful server in the Bluelink cloud environment, unlike the infotainment systems in other cars. The result, Hyundai says, is more accurate traffic forecasting and calculation, more accurate arrival times and more reliable route calculations.
The real-time parking information feature has also been updated with new settings for parking type and availability. It adds parking information for 43 countries, including all major cities (compared to 75 major cities in Europe)
