Hyundai published data on the new Sonata N-LineDecember 4, 2019
The South Korean novelty will be able to boast a power of 290 hp. Unfortunately, a full-fledged “charged” version is not expected from the Hyundai N sports division. The sedan in the N-Line version will go on sale in the fall of 2020.
The South Korean business-class sedan Hyundai Sonata 2020 model year is a completely new version of the car, which does not look like its predecessors. The popular model received a completely different design and a new platform.
During a recent interview, car manufacturer officials confirmed their willingness to begin production of the Sonata sedan in the more powerful N-Line, and also said that we would not have to expect a high-performance version of the car from the sports division of Hyundai N. When asked if whether Sonata N is possible, the answer was given: “I do not see any point in this. We don’t need it. ”
The most powerful performance in the current Sonata family will be the N-Line, which will go on sale next fall. Today, at an event where there was a small demonstration of the camouflaged Sonata N-Line, brand representatives published some technical specifications of the car.
The Sonata N-Line will use a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 290 horsepower. The engine is connected to an eight-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox – the same one that will soon be offered on the Veloster N hot hatchback. The photographs also show that the N-Line has a four-circuit exhaust system and 19-inch wheels (standard car 18th). However, the car does not have a limited slip differential or four-wheel drive. Power is transmitted only to the front wheels with active torque vectorization.
