Hyundai published a new photo of the electric retroconceptSeptember 4, 2019
Hyundai posted on social networks a new photo of the electric concept 45, which will debut on September 10 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In the style of the show car, there is a connection with the first independent model of the brand – Pony, as well as a hint of the design of future electric models.
The number 45 in the name of the concept refers to the age of Hyundai. Appearance is developed with an eye on the historical model Pony – the first independent car of the South Korean brand. He made his debut in 1974 at an exhibition in Turin, and went into production two years later. The design of the Hyundai Pony was coined by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro.
The basis for the serial implementation of the Hyundai 45 will be the modular platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) with an integrated drive axle IDA (Integrated Drive Axle). The pre-production model prototype will debut next year. The novelty will be a cross-hatch with an electric power plant and a power reserve of 450 kilometers. It is possible that the new Hyundai partner Rimac will be involved in the construction of the car.
In addition to concept 45, a new i10 will be shown in Frankfurt, an electric frankenstein racing car and a hardcore version of the i30 N hot hatch called Project C. The latter is an understated and lightweight version of the usual N-kit with the Performance package and an engine with 275 horsepower.
