In Korea, a new big Hyundai crossover was photographed without any kind of disguise. The official premiere of the model will take place in a few days.

The name of the new flagship all-terrain vehicle – Palisade – Hyundai announced a week and a half ago, at the same time distributing a uninformative video teaser. Recall, the name of the crossover was in honor of a respectable area in California, USA. Now there were “live” photos of the model without camouflage – the frames were taken in the brand’s homeland, the user published them on Instagram under the nickname ubin1024. Cross probably caught while filming for an advertisement.

As expected, the exterior of the Palisade was inspired by the concept of the Hyundai HDC-2 Grandmaster, presented in July at the exhibition in Busan: the commercial suv got similar grille and optics, as well as massive rear roof racks. However, it is possible that the serial crossover will have another design option for the grid, with horizontal stripes – Tucson SUV in Korea, for example, also has two design versions.

According to preliminary data, the Palisade is built on the same platform as the Kia Telluride: both crossovers supposedly have a cross-sectioned V6 gasoline engine and basic front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive transmission will be offered for an extra charge. On the home market, the diesel will probably be available for the Hyundai Palisade, but details about it, as well as about the gasoline “six”, are not available yet.

From the line of Hyundai new crossover supersede Grand Santa Fe. In addition to Korea, Palisade will still be sold in the United States – that’s where the world premiere of the production model will take place, it will be held on November 28 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. On the Korean market, the novelty will be released this year, and in the States, sales will begin in the summer of 2019.
