Hyundai Mistra presented at GuangzhouNovember 20, 2020
At the auto show in Guangzhou, Hyundai Corporation on Friday, November 20, showed the second generation of the Mistra model, which in China is located one step below the Sonata.
The newest car received a revised faceplate, a significantly changed interior and a rethought engine lineup. The sedan has slightly changed in size compared to the previous generation. It has become slightly lower and wider, increasing in length by 70 mm – up to 4780 mm, while the wheelbase of the Mistra is still 2770 mm. It is possible that the change in length is due to the processing of the external appearance of the model. The sedan received new bumpers, a different grille and redesigned optics. The taillights are designed in the style of the older Sonata model.
Inside the sedan, it is worth noting the presence of another front panel, a different central tunnel with push-button gear shifting, a tablet-like screen of the infotainment complex, which is visually combined with the “tidy”, and a new 4-spoke steering wheel.
The engine range of the sedan for the PRC is represented by a 143-horsepower 1.8-liter atmospheric engine and a 170-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine. Along with this, this model will acquire an electrical modification with a 184-horsepower unit. The estimated range according to the NEDC standard is 400 km. It is noted that the new car should go on sale in China at the beginning of next year, and, for sure, the extravagant sedan will not leave this country.
In addition, it was recently noted that during the tests it was possible to photograph the electric crossover Hyundai Ioniq 5. It should be emphasized that the newest car of the 2022 model year has already acquired a serial body and optics.
