Korean manufacturer Hyundai is about to unveil a new minivan called Custo. Such information on Monday, January 18, is shared by the New Cars portal. The newest car will be officially presented in April 2021, and the annual production volume will be about 50 thousand cars per year. Note that the first photos of the new car appeared on the Web in August 2020.
In the design of the car, you can find some similarities with the new generation Hyundai Tucson crossover, especially in terms of the radiator grille and headlights. Two modifications of the car will be available for purchase – for 6 and 7 seats. Of the technologies, we note the emergence of a digital dashboard from the latest generation Elantra model.
The steering wheel is also borrowed from the sedan. Attention is drawn to the buttons with which the gears are changed – they have replaced the classic lever. Technical data has not yet been officially confirmed, but sources report two versions of turbo engines.
The base one has a volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 170 hp, while the more advanced version gets a 2.0-liter engine with a return of 240 hp.
They work with a 7-speed robotized and 8-speed automatic transmission, respectively. Front-wheel drive on an uncontested basis.
In the meantime, it became known about the plans of Hyundai to release a large electric sedan. Most likely, the model will be named Ioniq 6. At the same time, its features will differ from what we will see in the Ioniq 5.
