Hyundai invented a name for a large crossoverApril 4, 2018
The three-row crossover will be offered with both front and all-wheel drive. The premiere of the car should take place in early 2019
The company Hyundai can name its new large crossover Palisade. It was this name that was registered by Koreans in the US patent office, reports AutoGuide. According to the publication, the premiere of the novelty will be held at the Auto Show in Detroit next year. World sales will not begin until late 2019. The novelty will compete with Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition.
The car will be built on the same platform that in the future will use the serial Kia Telluride. The three-row crossover will be offered with both front and all-wheel drive. Judging by the spy photos published by Motor1, the design of Palisade will resemble Santa Fe of the new generation. The crossover will receive narrow headlights and a large radiator grille.
According to unofficial data, the car will receive a 3.3-liter petrol engine V6. The unit’s capacity is 290 hp. Also, the crossover will be equipped with a hybrid powerplant, which will include a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The total power of this version of Palisade will be about 400 hp.
As for the serial implementation of Kia Telluride, the exact timing of the appearance of this car has not yet been called. However, this machine has already been seen on tests. The novelty will also be offered with both front and all-wheel drive. It is possible that Kia Telluride will borrow from the concept car hybrid power plant, which includes a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter petrol V6, and an electric motor with a capacity of 130 horsepower.
