Hyundai introduced the “charged” version of the updated Avante sedan for South Korea, which is marketed under the name Elantra in other markets. The novelty received an aggressive body kit and a supercharged engine.
From the usual sedan version with the prefix Sport can be distinguished by another grille with a pattern in the form of “honeycomb”, a spoiler on the luggage compartment lid, increased side skirts, 18-inch aluminum wheels and dual exhaust pipe. In addition, Hyundai Avante Sport received a multi-link rear suspension, as well as reinforced brakes.
The interior of Hyundai Avante Sport is trimmed in leather of red or black color, as well as decorative carbon inserts. A sporty steering wheel with a beveled lower segment and aluminum pedals appeared in the cabin.
The novelty was equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline “turbo”, which also equipped with GT-modifications Kia Ceed and Cerato. The engine develops 205 hp. and 265 Nm of torque. The transmissions are a six-speed manual or a seven-speed robotized transmission with two clutches.
