Hyundai introduced an affordable alternative to SolarisNovember 18, 2019
The export geography of the popular Hyundai Solaris car and its “related” models reached Costa Rica.
Now it offers a compact 4-door Verna, which is based on the Reina model of the previous generation.
As noted in the Korean brand, the sedan is built on the RB platform, which underlies Hyundai Accent and KIA Soluto. The dimensions of the Costa Rican sedan coincide with the donor: 4375 mm in length with a distance between the axles of 2570 mm.
Hyundai Verna has a 1.4-liter Carra gasoline engine with a capacity of 95 hp, with which a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission functions.
The car is also equipped with ABS, EBD, front airbags, side curtain airbags, ISOFIX anchors, 3-point belts with pretensioners, air conditioning, power mirrors, a driver’s seat with height adjustment, a multi-function steering wheel, and an infotainment complex with 7- inch touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth.
The cost of new items in Costa Rica ranges from 18,900 – 19,300 dollars
It also recently became known that the production of the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup truck will begin in 2021. The machine will be assembled in the US state of Alabama.
