Hyundai i30 will receive the next batch of updatesSeptember 18, 2019
Hyundai fans met the third generation of this model three years ago. Last year, the hatchback survived facelift and acquired a revised engine line, but the manufacturer decided not to stop there.
We are unlikely to see a freshened hatch before 2020. Most likely, the brand will present the updated Hyundai i30 in the first half of next year. Through a protective film, it is possible to make out a fragment of the radiator grill, which changed the fine-mesh pattern to horizontal strips with cross-pieces in the spirit of the new Sonata and Tucson. Also, the manufacturer worked on a new design of headlights and “fog”.
But the motor line is likely to continue. As before, it will include gasoline T-GDIs with returns from 120 to 250 hp, a 1.4-liter 100-horsepower MPI, as well as a 1.6-liter diesel engine with three power options: 95, 115 and 136 h.p.
It is possible that after restyling the Hyundai i30 will acquire a hybrid modification. This can explain the small external differences between the two prototypes seen in the tests: one of them received a “narrowed” head optics in the Kona style, the second retained the current version of the Hyundai i30. Under the hood of the hybrid, they expect to see the installation based on the 1.6-liter Kappa gasoline engine with a total capacity of 141 hp. With a similar power plant, the KIA Ceed travels on single electricity for up to 60 kilometers.
