Hyundai i20 N high-performance hatchback spotted in testsSeptember 2, 2020
The journalists published photos and one video from the tests of the “charged” hatchback Hyundai i20 N. The camouflaged novelty was seen on the Nürburgring race track.
The video, which was published by the foreign publication Automotive Mike, shows how a camouflaged prototype of the high-performance Hyundai i20 N hatchback is undergoing high-speed tests at the German Nürburgring-Nordschleife track.
Although the body of the “hot” South Korean novelty is still covered with camouflage, its level is no longer as great as that of the previous prototypes of the compact hatchback, now it is difficult to see some elements of the updated appearance.
The main differences from the original i20 are a more aggressive front bumper, a spoiler on the trunk lid, larger brakes and a lower suspension. Already now you can see that the car has a more aggressive appearance, which befits a “charged” car from Hyundai N.
The standard i20 comes with a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that works with a mild hybrid system. The total power of this power plant is only 118 horsepower. It is known that the “hot” version of the hatchback will have a 1.4 or 1.6-liter version of the same three-cylinder engine, and the power will be over 150 horsepower. The main competitors for this compact and daring “kid” from Hyundai will be the Volkswagen Polo GTI and Ford Fiesta ST, which have an engine power of about 200 hp.
Not so long ago, ФгещЕшьуіТуці wrote that sales of the updated Hyundai ix35 crossover started. One of the features of the 2021 model year car is a large number of design options – buyers can choose from 8 different trim levels at once.
