While restyled sedan and station wagon are available only in the home market. The cars have slightly changed the exterior design and new equipment has appeared.
The Hyundai i40 model has been manufactured since 2011, it was developed mainly for the European market, whereas the similar Sonata was aimed primarily at the USA. However, there are countries where both models sell at the same time, Korea in particular. From today, there are available fresh sedan and wagon i40.
This is the second update for i40: the first sedan and wagon have undergone in late 2014. Then the cars were radically transformed externally, in addition, they have reconfigured the suspension and steering. The current restyling is much more modest.
So, the model has got a radiator grille with a cellular pattern and 18-inch disks of a new design. The seats have new upholstery, the graphics of the devices have also changed slightly and the multimedia complex has been modernized. In all versions of the Hyundai i40 there is now an automatic braking system.
In Korea, both sedan and station wagon are offered with the same petrol engine 2.0 GDi with a power of 166 hp, which works in tandem with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The price of the refreshed four-door sedan i40 starts at a mark of 25,490,000 won. The station wagon will cost a minimum of 26.24 million won.
Later restyled sedan and wagon should also reach Europe. In the Old World, in addition to the 2.0 GDi engine, the model also includes a 1.6 GDi petrol engine (135 hp) and a 1.7 CRDi diesel (116 or 141 hp).
