Hyundai company brought to the showroom in Chicago, the updated version of the Sonata sedan with a hybrid power plant. The car is available in the US market in two versions – Hybrid and PHEV (plug-in hybrid). Sales of new items will begin in the second quarter of this year.
The restyling sedan received major changes in design. The car was equipped with new bumpers, LED optics, and a modified grille. In the cabin of the sedan, another instrument panel and a large screen of the multimedia system are installed.
Hybrid version of Hyundai Sonata is equipped with a power plant consisting of a two-liter motor, a six-speed automatic transmission, connected to the electric motor box, and also batteries with a capacity of 1.76 kilowatt-hours. The total power of the sedan is 195 horsepower.
Updated Hyundai Sonata PHEV received a more powerful electric motor and upgraded batteries with increased capacity. Thanks to this, the total return was increased to 204 horsepower. The power reserve on one electric traction at this car makes 43 kilometers.
