Hyundai finally declassified the new SonataMarch 6, 2019
While the web does not subside the hype around the opening of the Geneva Motor Show, the South Korean brand has declassified a new generation sedan, turning it into a four-door stylish coupe. The public debut will take place in New York on April 19th.
Hyundai Sonata – this is one of the pillars of the South Korean brand, and it is not surprising that the sedan has already received the eighth generation. While the model is not officially presented, but it is completely declassified. Apparently, the marketers of the brand considered it a good moment to lift the veil over the new model during the opening of the Geneva Motor Show, and thereby drag some of the attention to themselves.
Judging by the photos, the company will offer us a stylish sedan in the style of a four-door coupe. According to preliminary information, there will be enough space for rear passengers, but the overall style of the model will receive more “premium”. Indeed, the model looks much richer than the current version.
“The Sonata received an innovative coupe-like silhouette,” said Sung Joop Lee, senior vice president and head of the Hyundai Design Center. – A short rear overhang and a sloping low roofline create a balanced appearance, and Hyundai’s chrome-plated molding now passes along the bonnet, visually lengthening it. The molding also has LED lighting. ”
The public debut of the model will be held in the framework of the New York Motor Show, and sales should begin in the second half of this year. Information about the motor line will be available later.
