Hyundai electric crossover spotted in parkingSeptember 2, 2020
Photospies were able to look into the interior of the cross under the name Ioniq 5, which will be the debut model of Hyundai’s new electric sub-brand.
As Korean Car Blog informs, the coupe-like cross will be record-breaking roomy and will lose traditional side mirrors.
On the photos widespread by the portal, the interior of the cross is carefully disguised, but you can pay attention to the small monitors on the door panels. Apparently, the Ioniq 5 will receive a video camera system that will broadcast images to these monitors, replacing the side mirrors.
With a length of 4635 mm and a width of 1890 mm, the novelty will be located between the current models Santa Fe and Tucson. But the electric cross will be lower (1605 mm), and its wheelbase will be 3000 mm. According to sources, this distance between the axles was achieved thanks to the layout of the electric car.
The longest-range version of the Ioniq 5 will be able to cover a distance of up to 450 km on a single charge. There are no details about the powertrains of the electric car yet.
The cross-coupe under the new Hyundai sub-brand will begin production next year.
In addition, the South Korean company Hyundai recently demonstrated the updated crossover Kona 2021. It should be emphasized that the car has got a changed exterior and interior, as well as an expanded optional list.
