Hyundai Elantra Sport: outwardly normal, but keeps in itself 240 horsesJanuary 3, 2019
Despite the fact that Hyundai has long presented the “charged” version of the Elantra Sport sedan, but the regular 200 horsepower cannot fully meet the needs of young people.
Of course, Hyundai Elantra Sport is not the most “charged” car of its class. But already in the “base” is able to develop up to 200 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque. This power is removed from the 1.6-liter turbo engine, transmitting the moment to the front wheels through the “mechanics” or “automatic”. However, the owner, who showed his car on video, was not enough.
Presented tuning version of the Elantra Sport has increased power to 240 horsepower, removed already from the wheels. The owner says that this is quite simple. We’ll have to install a new exhaust system, upgraded air intakes and air filter, as well as update the firmware of the electronic engine control unit.
Compared to the conventional Elantra, the Sport version also has one very important improvement – an independent multi-link rear suspension that provides better handling at speed. So, it has a small, but the potential for fast driving.
Another advantage of the revision was the sound of the engine. Definitely the best Hyundai Elantra sound we heard.
