Some information has become available regarding the new generation Hyundai Elantra.
It is assumed that the new generation Elantra model will debut in June this year. The concept car is currently undergoing road tests in South Korea.
It is expected that after a change of generations, the Elantra model will acquire new LED optics and a slightly different roof line, due to which the free space for rear passengers will increase. The novelty will have sharper body features than the previous model.
In the current period it is known that one of the versions of the new Elantra will be equipped with a completely new 1.2-liter gas turbo engine. According to some experts, this motor may not appear on the global market. In addition, it is expected that the motor range of the car will be represented by 1.4 and 1.6 liter turbo engines. There is also information that they will offer a variation of the car, which will receive a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline power unit.
Hyundai Elantra of the new generation, most likely, will not get diesel engines, instead of this the model will be available in electrified versions. It should be recalled that the current generation Elantra is offered with plug-in hybrid powertrain only in the Chinese market.
