Hyundai announces high-performance electric vehiclesApril 27, 2021
Hyundai is already working on electrified racing cars, so it is considering creating high-performance road models.
Hyundai is actively developing high-performance variants of existing vehicles, such as the Kona N. In announcing the sporty compact cross, the brand announced that it will offer a full-scale N car on the E-GMP electric platform.
The developers are in no hurry to share details about their new product and what types of electric cars and fuel cell models will be included in the N clan.
It is possible that the debut electric car of the sub-brand will resemble the Kia EV6 GT with a capacity of 577 hp. and 740 Nm. The upcoming Hyundai N EV could take the form of the retro-modern Ioniq 5 large hatchback, as in the unofficial N Line render. Or it could be something completely different.
In addition, the issue of high performance hydrogen has not been raised. Hyundai mentioned its prowess in making fuel cell cars that electrolyze hydrogen to generate electricity. The Nexo is the only hydrogen-powered car in the company’s lineup to offer just 161bhp. and 395 Nm from a single front electric motor.
The concern continues to work on increasing the performance of its models. More details should be expected later.
