New details about the German hypercar Mercedes-AMG One have appeared on the web. The new AMG One, which will be powered by the same engine that powers the F1 racing cars, will boast 1200 hp.

The presentation of the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar is coming, and the German brand is not limited to telling the world about the development of the project. As we saw in the previously published video, which showed a prototype of the novelty, which was tested on a race track, the German brand is still in the process of tuning various components and assemblies of the hypercar.

A total of 275 examples of the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar will be assembled, each of which will use the same engine that powers F1 racing cars.

The car will cost $ 2.75 million

According to the overseas edition of The Supercar Blog, the production version of the hypercar will receive some noticeable exterior changes over the previously shown AMG One concept, including what is called a “larger fixed aerodynamic section at the rear.” Yes, that’s a bit of a vague definition and given that the prototype shown in the test track video (below) comes with an active rear spoiler.

According to rumors, there will be four tailpipes in the back, and not three, as was the case on early prototypes of the German novelty. The design of the rims will also differ.

More importantly, Mercedes-Benz is currently finalizing the tuning process for its 1.6-liter E-turbocharged V6 hybrid powertrain. Reports suggest a total output of 1,200 horsepower.

We’ll find out more about the hypercar during its launch next year, with sales expected to kick off in the second quarter of 2021.
