Hypercar Mercedes-AMG One goes to the last stage of testingJuly 8, 2020
The German brand is completing testing of its first Mercedes-AMG One hypercar. The novelty should reach its owners early next year.
Hypercar Mercedes-AMG One is one of the most anticipated cars in recent times, and the German automaker has just announced that “now the last stage of testing our first hypercar is starting.”
Mercedes-AMG One is perhaps the most ambitious car with extremely high power and the ability to move along public roads ever created by the automaker. Of course, various factors prevented the creation of this car, in particular the coronavirus, but it seems that the development of the project is resuming. And yes, Mercedes confirmed that it began deliveries of the hypercar to their rightful owners next year.
Former Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias noted that the car has reached all of its performance metrics and will be ready for debut soon.
In a recent interview, Daimler’s current boss, Ola Callenius, confirms that the development of the One hypercar is at a “last stage” and says the car can already run at maximum power.
Recall that AMG One will use the engine of a Formula 1 car, which consists of a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 that works with four electric motors. The car produces 986 hp. and it can accelerate to 200 km / h in less than six seconds, and its maximum speed will be 350 km / h.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series will debut in July. As our publication managed to find out, the racing-oriented version of the German Mercedes-AMG GT coupe will debut at the China Motor Show in July.
