43-year-old resident of the German commune Grunwald broke a new McLaren Senna a few hours after receiving a hypercar from a local dealer of the brand. The circumstances of the accident are not reported. Apparently, the driver overestimated his capabilities, lost control and hit the wall. No one was hurt during the incident.
An Instagram user with the nickname joshsnowhorn, who published a photo of a broken McLaren Senna, reports that this is the first known accident involving a hypercar. The GTSpirit website clarifies that a few minutes after the accident, representatives of the McLaren dealership evacuated the hypercar. Mileage of the car at the time of the incident was less than 100 kilometers.
Mid-engine McLaren Senna debuted last December. Hypercar became part of the Ultimate Series model range and received a 800-horsepower twin-turbo “eight” of four liters. From a place to one hundred kilometers per hour, the two-door accelerates in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed of the hypercar is 340 kilometers per hour.
Senna is equipped with an active hydraulic suspension, active anti-roll bars and active aerodynamics. At a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, they create 800 kilograms of downforce.
