The founder of the Italian company Pagani, Horatio Pagani, said that management is seriously considering the option to launch the first SUV on the market. It may appear after 2025.

Pagani said in an interview with Autocar that the brand wants to do something “radical” after 2025. According to him, the leadership is even considering the option to release the first in the history of the brand SUV. If ever a crossover with a Pagani nameplate appears on the market, its price will definitely be at least three million euros. However, as Pagani added, there is even a buyer for such a car.

If the SUV is given a green light, the Italian manufacturer wants to develop a model in conjunction with engineers from Mercedes-Benz. Pagani noted that the German partner has been working in this segment for a long time and could share his platforms. In addition, Pagani said that the successor to Huayra, who is so far known as the C10, will receive an electric power plant. As the main hypercar, they will be equipped with a traditional ICE – a V-shaped 12-cylinder, which Mercedes colleagues shared with the manufacturer. But in addition to the V12, a fully electric engine will appear in the engine range.

“The C10 will have a regular V12, but at the same time a fully electric car will appear. It will not be built on the same platform – we will finalize it ”

The brand founder explained that now buyers are becoming younger. If earlier Pagani cars were mainly interested in collectors over 50 years old, now a huge part of the customer base is young people for whom environmental and electrification issues are important.

The latest innovation introduced by the manufacturer was the Huayra BC Roadster. The car received an innovative monocoque from the next generation composite, as well as an 800-horsepower V12 engine with a volume of 6.0 liters. The circulation of the roadster is limited to 40 copies. Starting price – 3,085,000 euros.
