Hypercar Hennessey Venom F5 is scheduled for 2020February 4, 2019
High-speed testing of the American hypercar, which, according to the assurances of its creators, can reach a maximum speed of 483 km / h, is sure to begin this year.
When the well-known tuning studio Hennessey first presented its ultra-fast coupe Venom F5 at the SEMA auto show, which is devoted to tuning, the world was struck by a powerful 1600-horsepower V8 engine. Still more surprised when John Hennessy himself (the company’s founder) said that they are striving to set the maximum speed record at 483 km / h and it is on the new hypercar. Now, the founder of Hennessey decided to reveal even more information about the future of Venom F5.
In an interview with Top Gear’s foreign publication, Mr. Hennessy said that electrification will not be the future for their Venom F5. The Texas Tuner considers itself a representative of the “old school” who prefer to work with good old internal combustion engines.
“The first prototypes of the Venom F5 hypercar will be built in June of this year, and in August we plan to show the car to customers at an event in Pebble Beach. From September until the end of 2019, our team will test cars at high speeds. The Venom F5 serial version will be introduced in 2020, ”said John Hennessy.
Of course, these dates are still the company’s plans, and there are many things that can happen and change the development of the Venom F5. But at least there are now specific dates, and this is what we are paying attention to, especially those 24 people who have already been billed to buy a hypercar of $ 1,600,000.
