Hypercar announced with a maximum speed of 400 km / hJune 5, 2020
Naran is currently in the final stages of its development cycle. Now the car is being tested for handling and top speed at Imola and Nurburgring. It is expected that the finished hypercar will go on sale in mid-August, and production is strictly limited to only 49 copies.
It will be powered by a 5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a declared power of 1,034 hp. and 1036 Nm of torque. Performance will be sent to all four wheels – and Naran Automotive reports that its hypercar will accelerate to 100 km / h in 2.1 seconds, and the maximum speed will be limited to 400 km / h.
In addition to the unusual engine layout, the Naran design seems to follow the traditional hypercar rules, with a low nose and a huge rear wing. The company also confirmed that most of the car body will be made from a mixture of carbon fiber and natural flax, which will help keep its own weight below 1500 kg.
The project is supported by Indian-Zimbabwean businessman Ahmir Naran with the support of former Jaguar Land Rover engineer Steve Pegg, as well as automotive designer Jovin Wong, who is best known for his work on IE Apollo.
