Hybrid Peugeot 3008 will go on saleMarch 31, 2020
Recently, the French company introduced an electrified version of the SUV Peugeot 3008.
It is known that an SUV can be both front- and rear-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive model uses two electric motors, as well as a gasoline unit, the total return of which is 300 hp. All this makes the car the most powerful model in the brand line.
There is information that the company is going to offer all-wheel drive performance only for the Peugeot 3008. In gasoline and diesel versions, only front-wheel drive will be available. It is known that the Peugeot 3008 hybrid was built on the basis of the PSA group’s EMP2 platform for compact and medium cars.
In addition, the automaker claims that customers will notice only one difference between the gasoline and diesel models from the hybrid version in the spare tire, which is located under the boot floor, where the charging cable will now be located.
The battery will be located under the rear seats, and therefore the volume of the salons will remain unchanged. As for the hybrid version, it has an 8-speed automatic with multi-plate wet clutch instead of a torque converter.
