Hybrid Jeep Renegad will be presented at the end of the monthJune 15, 2019
The company is seriously preparing for the electrification of its model range, and by the time a new rechargeable hybrid is almost ready for launch into the series. It is assumed that the power reserve will be about 50-60 km on a full battery.
Despite the fact that full electrification is still not considered profitable for the majority of global concerns, active work is underway in this direction. Now most companies have focused on hybrids, and Jeep is no exception. The first electrified SUV Jeep, built on the basis of the new Renegade, is preparing to exit. Recall that the model was presented in March 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show.
Debut should take place at the exhibition Parco del Valentino from June 19 to June 23 (Turin, Italy). A 1.3-liter turbo engine coupled with an electric motor will be used as the power unit. The total power will be 237 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 7 seconds.
According to the company, the main advantage of the model will be efficiency and environmental friendliness. Carbon dioxide emissions will not exceed 50 g / km. And the power reserve on electricity will be in the region of 50 km at full charge. Whether the system will be available fast charging is not reported.
It is expected that the hybrid Jeep Renegad PHEV will be the most expensive in the lineup. Expected demand is not large, and mainly in the European market.
Meanwhile, the Chinese clone Jeep Wrangler added luxury. The Beijing BJ40 SUV, often called the “pirated” Wrangler, got a limited special series.
