The first rechargeable hybrid from Opel is already available for pre-order in Germany and the UK. Peak recoil of the power plant reaches 300 hp, which makes this model the most powerful in the current model line of the brand.
In selected European countries, local Opel dealers have begun to place orders for the new Grandland X Hybrid4 hybrid SUV. The novelty is driven by a so-called “soft” hybrid. The structure of such a power plant, which, by the way, is considered the most powerful at the Opel, includes a 200-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo-four and two electric motors with a capacity of 109 hp. Transmission – eight-speed automatic. The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13.2 kW • h is capable of providing “distance” up to 50 kilometers.
Full charging of batteries from a household network, on assurances of developers, will require about four hours. When using a special charging station, the charging time will be reduced to two hours. In total, owners of the hybrid Grandland X Hybrid4 will be able to try out the four modes of operation of the power plant – pure electric, hybrid, off-road AWD and sports.
The minimum price tag for a novelty from Opel was set at 49,940 euros. It is known that the first commercial cars will fall into the hands of customers only at the beginning of 2020.
