Hybrid 2020 Hyundai Sonata is preparing for debutFebruary 4, 2020
There are only a few days left before the Chicago motor show, which means that very soon fans of the Korean Hyundai brand will be able to get acquainted with an environmentally friendly version of the popular Sonata.
Details of the upcoming debut of the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid for the US market, the automaker has kept a secret. However, on February 6, Hyundai will give answers to all questions. Recall that in its homeland, the hybrid Hyundai Sonata was introduced back in the summer of 2019. Here, the novelty is estimated at 23,400-31,800 dollars, taking into account state subsidies. They promised to bring the novelty to the USA, so the upcoming public premiere of the hybrid model is quite natural.
For buyers in the home market, the brand offered the Sonata Hybrid with a two-liter 150-horsepower engine, combined with a 52-horsepower electric engine. For the role of transmission, the developers chose a six-speed “automatic”.
Externally, the Sonata hybrid differs from its predecessor in a redesigned grille and an aerodynamic rear spoiler. The entire surface of the roof of the car is occupied by a solar battery, which can annually increase the range of electric mileage by 1,300 kilometers. Will the American version be similar to the Korean, we will know very soon.
