How does the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series 2021 differ from its predecessors?July 17, 2020
The famous car YouTube blogger Shmee150 decided to compare the powerful sports coupe Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series 2021 with its predecessors. According to the blogger, the cars differ “dramatically.”
A third of all Black Series models created by German automaker Mercedes-AMG are “brought together” in this video thanks to famous foreign YouTube blogger Shmee150. The guy decided to compare his own 2012 SLS Black Series with the newest Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
The new 2021 model year boasts a significantly more aggressive aerodynamic body kit.
For comparison, the “old” SLS AMG has a significantly less striking exterior design.
While some prefer the more relaxed design of the old model, it must be admitted that the aggressive design of the new GT Black Series looks very, very stylish. Whether each individual body kit has been fitted to improve aerodynamics, reduce weight or improve cooling of individual parts of the car, the exterior suggests that this car is designed to offer maximum performance on the race track.
Besides the obvious design differences inside and out, the successor to the iconic SLS model boasts 100 hp. (165 Nm) more, thanks to the newly developed 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with flat crank configuration. The more powerful propulsion system has reduced the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h / by 0.4 seconds – now this figure is only 3.2 seconds, and the top speed has increased from 315 to 325 km / h.
Even if the whole difference between the old SLS Black Series and the newest GT Black Series does not look so big on paper, according to the blogger, the latter is noticeably superior to its predecessor.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar is entering the last stage of testing. The German brand is completing testing of its first Mercedes-AMG One hypercar. The novelty should reach its owners early next year.
