How do you like this toy copy of the 2020 Chevy C8 Corvette?July 2, 2020
Owners of the Chevy Corvette C8 generation sports coupe received toy models of the sports coupe. These cars are made on a 1:25 scale and contain the VIN number of the real car that was purchased.
From the very beginning, the Chevrolet made it clear that the new Corvette C8 would be a rather unusual car. The location of the engine between the front and rear axles, the aggressive appearance and high-performance dynamics, are obviously one of the main features of the new generation of iconic cars. In addition, General Motors makes attention gestures to its loyal customers who bought Corvette.
The carmaker already had a tradition of thanking some of its customers for buying a new Corvette with a small “Thank you” gift, which usually included a Corvette personal letter in a frame.
Now, the automaker decided to give the owners cool large-scale copies. They differ from the Corvette sculptures from the Amalgam collection, but the idea is generally similar.
The brand likes to call them “high-speed models,” and Jeremy Welborn, author of CorvetteBlogger, describes them as “bigger than traditional 1:25 scale models,” from which he separately noted that they are “quite heavy.” These models are available in colors that match the colors of the real Corvette C8, in addition, they have a small icon engraved with the VIN code of the actual car. Small copies of the C8 are packed in a beautiful black box.
Users of the C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) group on Facebook posted several photos showing their gifts – among them are models of black, orange, silver and other colors. Everyone seems very grateful for GM’s cool gesture.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that look at the restoration process of the Chevy Corvette C2 forgotten in the garage. A copy of the 1967 Chevy Corvette sports coupe was found in the garage. The car stood in the garage of the last 33 years. The video captures the process of cleaning a car from perennial dirt.
