How do you like the new version of the Chrysler Imperial coupe?January 14, 2020
With the help of a graphic editor, the talented artist decided to imagine what the American 1972 Chrysler Imperial coupe might look like today.
As part of this article, we would like to talk about the Chrysler Imperial. This massive two-door car manufactured by the American company Chrysler was created in the 70s of the last century. It is worth noting separately that this is an incredibly clumsy, awkward car – this is what they say to those who happened to sit behind the wheel of a Chrysler Imperial.
To think about how a new version of the large Imperial coupe might look like these days, it occurred to the artist from the YouTube channel The Sketch Monkey. Recently, he presents a lot of “alterations” of such a plan, although this time he notes that this project specifically belongs to the “restomode” category, in contrast to the modern interpretation of any old model. Attention is paid not to the whole machine, but to a small part of it.
Rather, the goal here is to preserve the size and shape of the classic Chrysler car.
If earlier this effect was achieved due to a hefty false radiator grille, now in its place is a long LED strip that connects three vertical stripes of LED headlights. In the center of the hood is a round Chrysler ornament.
The artist also paid attention to the wheels and tires of the car, and the roof now has a fairly smooth transition into a long quarter of the panel.
It is worth noting that the mass production of Chrysler Imperial was completed in 1993. In 2006, the Imperial concept car was introduced, but it never got to the conveyors.
