One of the managers of the factory, which assembled a sports coupe Chevrolet Corvette, decided to buy a second generation of this iconic model. The buyer got a restored Chevrolet Corvette C2 model 1966, equipped with a 425-horsepower engine.

Kai Spande is the head of one of the assembly plants of the American concern General Motors, whose Chevrolet Corvette sports coupe has been disembarking for several years. Not so long ago, Mr. Spande bought a restored version of the Chevrolet Corvette C2 – it is reported that this car has received many awards.

The car was sold by a Corvette Mike dealer, who has different generations of this truly iconic model – starting with the very first C1 and ending with C7, but there are no latest generation cars (C8) in its stocks yet. It is reported that the purchase of Mr. Spande was the 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Milano Maroon, which you see here.

This car was restored about 20 years ago and is the proud owner of the prestigious Bloomington Golden Award. Under the hood of the car is a powerful V8 engine that delivers a maximum of 425 horsepower and works with a four-speed manual gearbox and a rare factory option to change the volume of the exhaust system. Admittedly, this is a beautiful car in every sense.

When this Chevrolet Corvette C2 was first found by Corvette Mike, the car was in a rather sad state, and it was in urgent need of restoration. According to the representatives of the company, after a two-year restoration, the car began to look even better than at the time when it just got off the assembly line of the plant.

Not so long ago, we wrote that the modernized Chevy Corvette generation C5 has a fuel consumption of only 5.88 liters on the highway! Despite the fact that this sports coupe has a powerful LS1 V8 engine under the hood, it boasts a fairly affordable fuel consumption on the highway – only 5.88 liters per 100 km.
