Hongqi, from the family of Chinese auto giant FAW, is preparing the market debut of a large electric crossover. At the end of last month, the novelty was presented to the local press. Now the “fresh” corporate images of the flagship have hit the Internet.

Inspired by Rolls-Royse luxury models, the Hongqi E-HS9 electric crossover has come a long way. First, the E115 concept was presented at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, then a series of test prototypes followed, which regularly came across to photo spies.

Later, the “celestial” Ministry of Industry declassified the appearance of a commodity cross, after which the brand presented the flagship model to the party elite and journalists. Now the turn has come to the official images that finally show us the salon of the electrocross.

The exterior of the novelty is distinguished by stylish two-tier optics, spectacular taillights connected by a luminous strip, retractable door handles, original design wheels, geometric stampings, etc.

The cross is based on a new platform developed by FAW engineers. The length of the electric car reaches 5,209 mm with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, and its width and height are – 2,010 and 1,731 mm, respectively.
Details about the car interior are also enough. The “fresh” images are not of the best quality, but conclusions can be drawn from them. So, the cross gets four displays at once – dashboard, multimedia, a personal touchscreen for the front passenger and a screen for controlling the “climate”. There are displays in the front seat backs. The list of electrocross equipment turned out to be rich and high-tech, which once again confirms its status.

All-wheel drive will be available already in the “base”, and in total there will be two versions of the E-HS9 on the market – base and top, which will receive different power. The novelty will be on sale in the home market before the end of 2020.

Meanwhile, a crossover based on the BMW X5 from Vietnam has acquired a luxury version. This modification of the VinFast Lux SA2.0 crossover was named President. She got a more powerful engine and an expanded list of equipment.
