Hongqi is preparing to release its first electric crossover E-HS3March 22, 2019
This SUV will be the debut electric car in the model range of the premium subbrand FAW. It is known that buyers will be offered two modifications of the novelty at once.
FAW’s subsidiary brand Hongqi is set to expand its model line with premium electrocross. The first electric car in the history of the brand will be called E-HS3. The appearance of the novelty repeats the design of the prototype U-Concept, which debuted at the motor show in Shanghai two years ago. In total, buyers will be offered two modifications of Hongqi E-HS3.
The first will receive a front-wheel drive and a 155-hp electric motor. The first hundred such cars will pick up in ten seconds. The second, in turn, will get two electric motors on each axis. Their total power, according to the assurances of the developers, will reach 310 horses. Acceleration time to 100 km / h will be reduced to six seconds. The announced range varies from 344 to 407 kilometers.
In the cabin of the first electric car from Hongqi there will be a fully digital dashboard with a large display, modern multimedia with a “floating” touchscreen, a Bose audio system, and wireless charging for gadgets. Add to this six airbags, lane control system, as well as the ability to control individual functions of the car using a regular smartphone. The twin-engine electrocross also gets a popular windshield projector.
