Hongqi E115 electric production will be launched in Hong KongMarch 29, 2020
The Chinese auto industry is gradually breaking the deadlock after the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
Today, information appeared on the plans of the Chinese premium brand Hongqi regarding the release of the E115 electric car. According to Auto163, the production of new cars will be launched in Hong Kong. Over the first six months, it is planned to collect more than 50 thousand electric cars, which is a very impressive figure, especially against the backdrop of a decrease in car sales. For the first time, the electric Hongqi E115 was shown at the Guangzhou Chinese Motor Show in 2019, and a bit later it was brought to the Frankfurt Motor Show. At the same time, at both exhibitions, visitors and journalists were shown a concept car, not a serial version.
The designer of the Chinese brand said that the final version will be very similar to the prototype. The length of the car will be 5,160 mm with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm.
The width of the car will be much more modest – 1,730 mm. The power plant of the new car will consist of two electric motors. The motor located on the front axle has a power of 218 hp. at 350 Nm of torque, and the engine on the rear axle is capable of producing 299 hp at 420 Nm of torque. Such great power provides the car with excellent dynamics – up to 100 km / h it can accelerate in just 4 seconds.
