The 16th Beijing International Auto Show 2020 officially opened on September 26. Honda has unveiled a range of new electrified models and the latest ICV technology advancements, including its concept electric crossover and plug-in hybrid.

This year’s auto show saw the world premiere of China’s first purely electric concept car, the Honda SUV e: concept. This concept car showed the direction of development of the first purely electric car of the Honda brand. Also at the event, the CR-V Sport Hybrid e + crossover debuted, the first plug-in hybrid model in the Chinese market.

Also worth noting are such novelties as the tenth generation Accord in a special Star Limited Edition and the new VE-1 from GAC Honda.

The Honda SUV e: concept is a futuristic and technologically advanced vehicle that shows the direction for Honda’s electrification in China. A team of young designers from Honda China worked on it. The Honda SUV e: concept will use high-precision control technology to deliver an agile, fast, comfortable and stable driving experience unique to an electric sports car, delivering the perfect combination of power and environmental performance. At the same time, the vehicle will be equipped with the next generation Honda CONNECT Intelligent Control and Interconnection System, which uses artificial intelligence and enables more comprehensive interconnection.

In addition, the Honda SUV e: concept showed a vision for the road situation of the future, namely zero accidents, which the company hopes to realize thanks to an improved complex of assistants.

The CR-V Sport Hybrid e + is equipped with the brand’s unique plug-in hybrid system, which is based on the highly efficient i-MMD hybrid power system with two motors. The power reserve exclusively on electric traction is about 80 km, which will allow you to move around the city every day without polluting the air.

At the same time, this model offers the same responsiveness and quietness as pure electric vehicles and uses original Honda technology to create a comfortable interior space. The CR-V Sport Hybrid e + will go on sale early next year.

The debut of the new CR-V Sport Hybrid e + at this year’s Auto Show aims to show that Honda China has implemented full matrix electrification technology and product layouts from hybrid, plug-in hybrids to pure electric vehicles and is launching a completely new electrification process.
