New Honda HR-V received a 1.5-liter engine from the Civic
Honda has introduced the HR-V crossover modification to the European market. She acquired a turbo engine, which is also placed on the Civic, Accord and CR-V.
The HR-V Sport is equipped with a 1.5-liter four, which gives 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The unit works in pair with either a six-speed manual gearbox or with the variator, offered as an option. In the latter case, the engine output will remain the same, but the torque will decrease to 220 Nm.
Dynamic characteristics of new items were not disclosed. Previously, the most powerful HR-V in Europe was the version with a 130-hp engine 1.5l with a manual transmission, such a car accelerate to 100 km/h in 10.2 seconds, while the version with a continuously variable transmission reaches the same mark 0.7 seconds longer.
The sports version of the crossover received a new suspension and new shock absorbers, a different setting of electric power steering, LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, twin exhaust pipes, and other seats in the cabin with black and red trim.
As previously reported, the turbocharged HR-V will begin selling in the spring. In Russia, the model is not available.
