Honda Ridgeline pickup will become hybridOctober 5, 2019
Insiders said that the Ridgeline Hybrid will appear in the dealerships of the brand soon, but the automaker said the information was inaccurate.
Honda Representative in Louisiana posted on its website a message “about the imminent” appearance of a hybrid version of the Ridgeline pickup. Later the page was deleted and the foreign media turned to the brand’s press service for clarification. However, the fact that the information is no longer available on the site indicates a big mistake by the dealership.
It is assumed that the proposed hybrid Ridgeline will appear in 2020 and may become twin-engine. The power plant is borrowed from the Honda Accord, where a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine develops 212 hp. power. In addition, the automaker can update its pickup truck, which has been in its present form since 2017.
As it turned out later, the information posted on the site was true. The automaker commented on the situation, saying that the data was not accurate. However, as stated in the announcement of the dealership, we will see a new product next year. We think that in a few months we will have more detailed information about the model.
