Honda patented electric sports coupeJuly 4, 2019
Honda’s new sports car resembles the Sports EV concept car, shown in 2017. Images of the mysterious electric car appeared in the database of the Japanese patent office.
The Dutch edition of AutoWeek posted images that were supposedly “borrowed” from the base of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO). The appearance of the future news is similar to the concept of Sports EV. Most likely, this mysterious “green” sport coupe will become the next electric car of the brand after the sensational Honda-e hatchback, but only more sporting. Another assumption, inspired by the drawings that appeared on the web, the novelty will become the most productive electric model of Honda.
With the previously introduced concepts, new electric cars are made by retro optics and a striking combination of white body panels with details painted in matt black.
The absence of exhaust pipes, as well as the shape of the radiator grill, testifies to the belonging of the novelty to the family of environmentally friendly cars. In addition, the release of a new electric car in the 2020th series was also discussed in the company itself. This will happen in the framework of the strategy of the company Electric Vision. In the pictures we do not see noticeable door handles and traditional exterior mirrors. It is not excluded that the novelty will also be equipped with video cameras instead of side mirrors. Images from them, as we already know on the Honda e, broadcast two displays on the edges of the dashboard.
