The company Acura has worked on updating its crossover Acura MDX for the 2019 model year. At the same time, experts note that the vehicle has not received any global changes.

The main innovations were a new bumper with wide air intakes on the front and diffuser on the rear. Representatives of the brand gave the novelty branded light alloy wheels of 20 inches with low-profile rubber. Optics also changed, which became slightly darkened. There was a bifurcated exhaust system with wide branch pipes.

As before, in the basic configuration Acura MDX has an atmospheric V6 engine with a working volume of 3.5 liters, capable of developing up to 294 horsepower. In addition, customers will be offered a hybrid version, whose performance reaches 320 horsepower. Together with the power units there is a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The start/stop system was standard in all versions of MDX. The developers only decided to reconfigure it, so the engine started to start much faster.

It is worth noting that the nine-speed automatic transmission has changed software. Under normal conditions, the crossover can be propelled from the second gear to achieve a smooth acceleration. But when you press the accelerator pedal immediately “to the floor,” when towing a trailer or in a sport mode, the car starts from the first gear.

Motorists can order these cars in nine color variations. Five of the shades offered by the manufacturer turned out to be completely new, of which Apex Blue Pearl is only available in A-Spec version.

The contours, perhaps minor, also touched the interior. In the interior there were decorative inserts. In the range of decorative finishes, Desert Olive ash is added and a new contrast stitching of armchairs and door panels is added.

On the versions of the crossover with the Technology and Entertainment packages, the second row has been modified, so that passengers could easily reach the third. The front seats were equipped with a motorized adjustment of the lumbar support in two directions as standard equipment on all MDX.
