Honda NSX has zero sales this yearOctober 24, 2020
The hybrid sports car has never been able to find a buyer in Australia. For this reason, the Japanese automaker decided to remove the model from this regional market.
Honda NSX has shown extremely low sales in the Australian car market. It is for this reason that the sports car has imperceptibly disappeared from this country: it will not work to order a hybrid, and the dealers’ stocks have dried up.
Writes about this edition CarExpert with reference to the current statistics. It turns out that the Japanese have not sold a single NSX this year. Last year, buyers bought only three cars, in 2018 – two. The same number of sports cars found owners in 2017 and 2016.
The decision to ditch NSX in Australia stems from the company’s local restructuring plan. Honda is looking to rethink its lineup by ditching poorly-selling vehicles and cutting dealerships.
We will remind, earlier for NSX in Australian car dealerships they asked from 420,000 Australian dollars. The sports car was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, a pair of electric motors and a 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The power plant is 573 hp. The hybrid accelerates to a hundred in 2.9 seconds, its maximum speed is 307 km / h.
