The high-performance hatchback Honda Civic Type R Sport Line 2020 model year will soon be available in Europe. The car lost a large rear wing – now its place is taken by a small spoiler.

The Japanese automaker will not sell its new product in all countries, for example, motorists in North America can not hope for the possibility of acquiring this version of the popular model.

The Sport Line version boasts 19-inch wheels in dark gray and V-spoke. As tires, Michelin Pilot Sports 4S with softer side walls than the usual Japanese hatchback model was chosen, which ultimately gives a smoother ride. According to the representatives of the company, the novelty received a lower level of noise and vibration in the cabin, compared with the usual Civic Type R.

In addition to replacing the enormous size of the wing with a spoiler, Honda also has a gray accent line along the bottom edge of the body. The red trim from the standard Civic Type R has also disappeared. The “hot” hatchback is available in the new Racing Blue body color.

Inside there are seats with strong lateral support, which have black upholstery and red stitching, as well as a steering wheel with Alcantara trim. A drop-shaped gear knob appeared.

The Sport Line version has the same powerplant as the regular Civic Type R. This is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 315 horsepower for the European market. All motors come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
