Honda has developed a racing Civic Type RDecember 13, 2019
Honda Corporation showed off the Civic Type R, which was built as part of the HPD client racing program.
The racing hatchback was prepared by specialists from Honda Performance Development, it is aimed at teams participating in the SRO TC Americas series and amateur touring races.
Honda Civic Type R TC is based on the Type R hatchback with some changes under the technical regulations of the TC series. The car remained a simple body, at the same time, new parts appeared, including a radiator grill, a hood with ventilation holes and an aerodynamic body kit. The 2.0-liter VTEC Turbo turbo engine is tuned for a performance of 274 – 335 hp, it has the ability to connect different control units.
The hatchback got a racing intercooler, an oil cooler, an HPD / Borla exhaust tract, an HPD / Cusco limited-slip differential in the front axle, 2-piece HPD Girodisc brake rotors with a diameter of 350 mm, a 61 liter HPD / Pyrotect fuel tank, bucket seats and a 6- spot safety belts.
Only customers with a valid racing license will be able to buy such a car. Upon purchase of the Civic Type R TC, customers are additionally given access to a dedicated technical support line.
A hot hatchback costs 89,900. At the same time, the flagship Type R TCR will have to pay $ 172,238
