Honda has announced the imminent premiere of the hybrid Honda City RSAugust 14, 2020
The new Japanese sedan is expected in the Malaysian car market this fall. Moreover, for this country, the automaker has prepared a completely new power plant, which did not go to other markets.
Honda is preparing the market debut of the new Honda City sedan in Malaysia. Local motorists will be offered a 1.5-liter “aspirated” engine, but a liter 122-horsepower turbo engine (as in Thailand) is not provided.
But the Japanese will bring the i-MMD three-engine hybrid installation to this country. In other regions, it has not yet been presented, so this is the first time such a hybrid will debut at City for Malaysia.
Not without a special RS package. Only top sedans will be able to try on such a design with decor in a “black gloss”. The dimensions of the hybrid RS-version have not yet been reported. Most likely, in terms of its parameters, it will repeat the car for the Thai market. Recall that the Honda City there reaches a length of 4,553 mm with a wheelbase of 2,589 mm.
The benefits of the new hybrid include impressive acceleration. According to one of the demo videos, the City RS will outpace its rival, the Toyota Camry. Another plus of the new unit is its economical fuel consumption. According to the developers, the sedan spends 4.5 liters for every hundred run.
Previously, the price lists for the updated minivan Honda Odyssey 2021 became known. After the restyling, the model has expectedly increased in price, but this growth cannot be called critical. The novelty is already available for purchase in the showrooms of foreign dealers.
