Honda calls the cost HR-V SportMarch 4, 2019
The car will enter the European market in April. Sales are forecast at a relatively low level, since the new product turned out to be much more expensive than the larger CR-V in the initial trim levels.
Honda announced the release of HR-V Sport last fall, and now reports details. The cost issue remained one of the key, and Honda finally answered: HR-V Sport was not at all as affordable as it was supposed to be.
The minimum cost of HR-V Sport in the UK market, which will be the first where this modification will appear, will be 27,595 pounds sterling (31,770 euros) – as many will be asked for the version with 6-step “mechanics”. HR-V Sport with a CVT will cost at least 28,845 pounds (33,210 euros).
The cost of new items significantly exceeds the CR-V in the basic configuration S (25,995 pounds, 29,930 euros) and is comparable to the CR-V in one of the most common configurations of the SE (27,865 pounds, 32,080 euros). It is not difficult to assume that the demand for HR-V Sport will probably be low.
This is confirmed by the fact that the HR-V Sport has the same engine as the CR-V: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol. There are small differences in the settings – 179 hp (134 kW) for HR-V Sport and 170 hp (127 kW) for the CR-V. It is worth noting that the HR-V Sport shows at the same time quite impressive dynamics among classmates, accelerating to 100 km / h, according to the manufacturer, in 7.8 s. The maximum speed is 216 km / h.
The declared fuel consumption in the WLTP test cycle is 5.9 l / 100 km in the combined cycle.
Outside, HR-V Sport can be distinguished by bumpers, overlays on wheel arches, grille. In the cabin – two-tone trim scheme with a combination of black and red artificial leather.
